Founded in 1889, Elon University is a private university located in Elon, North Carolina. Throughout its history, this institution has braved several challenges. Yet, it has persevered through all of them. For example, in 1923, major parts of the campus including classrooms, the library, and the chapel were destroyed in a fire.
