The two millennia old state: Mysore witnessed the great empires and royal dynasties and always paced up with the changing scenarios. One of the great contributors of knowledge, art, culture, and tradition. Recently, Mysore has added another feather to its cap after Mysore Royal Academy School of Business became the 30th GMAT test center in India and third in Karnataka.

The official statement was given by Prof. Shalini Urs, founder, and chairperson of MYRA School of Business, “GMAT center at MYRA is now operational, and three students appeared for the exam, held at the MYRA library. Overall, 12 candidates have registered to take the GMAT in December in Mysuru.”

Prior to this there were only two other GMAT test centers in the state: Bengaluru and Manipal. In India, the GMAT test is conducted across 26 cities with over 29 test centers. Click to know more about GMAT test centers in India.

In 1954, GMAC (Graduate Management Admission Council) conducted the first GMAT test in India. And now 6000 business schools participate in conducting the GMAT test by GMAC. GMAT score is accepted globally in more than 2000 business schools. It can be taken across 125 countries and India is the 27th country which conducts the GMAT test. According to the reports, around 2.15 lakhs students took the GMAT in 2015.

GMAT is competitive standardized entry level test to procure MBA as a master degree or for doctoral programs. It tests candidate’s quantitative aptitude, verbal aptitude and analytical writing aptitude. Yet it does not evaluate your knowledge about business traits. The aspirants need to prepare thoroughly upto high school level.
