The University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) was established in 1958 in Beijing. In 1970, USTC was shifted to its current location at Hefei, in the Anhui Province. The university has five campuses with over 2000 faculty members. Admissions 

The admissions process at USTC is dependent on the program you are applying to. USTC offers 34 undergraduate programs in 12 disciplines. Additionally, it provides more than 100 post-graduate programs and 90 doctoral programs. Fees 

The tuition fees vary depending on the course you are applying to. Hence, it is recommended that you verify the fee structure for the program of your choice before proceeding with the admission process.  

On average, the fee is around 26,000 RMB per academic year. You will also have to pay for accommodation if you wish to stay on campus in dormitories. The fees for the dormitory range between 500-1000 RMB per month depending on the size of the room and the facilities you seek. 

Scholarships 

Applicants who have exemplary academic records can apply for USTC Fellowship. This takes care of your tuition fees and insurance fees. It also provides you with a monthly stipend of 2500 RMB and with a subsidy for accommodation. Students can also apply for scholarships with the Chinese Embassy or Consulate-General in their home country.
