GMAT Exam 2021

The GMAT is a 3 hours and 7 minutes long exam and is divided into four sections.  Scored on a scale of 200-800, the GMAT is a computer-adaptive test. Computer-adaptive refers to the algorithm that tailors the difficulty of each question to the user’s level of answering each question correctly. Hence, for every question you answer correctly, the system presents a tougher question and for each question you answer incorrectly on the GMAT, the system presents you with a question of lesser difficulty.

Mentioned below is a table comprising each of the sections that are present in the GMAT, its score range and time duration.

Section NameScoreDuration
Analytical Writing Assessment0-630 minutes
Integrated Reasoning1-830 minutes
Quantitative Reasoning 2-5160 minutes
Verbal Reasoning2-5160 minutes

From the above table above, it is evident that the quant and verbal reasoning sections comprise the major chunk of the GMAT. While the quant tests you on mathematical concepts, the verbal reasoning section tests you on your command of the English language. The integrated reasoning and analytical writing assessment sections are scored separately. The integrated section tests your ability to evaluate data presented to you in a visual format and the analytical writing assessment gauges your ability to write critically.

All in all, a good GMAT prep course should help you master all four sections of the GMAT. Hence, you should choose those GMAT coaching classes in Gurgaon that have the experience and credibility to train you in the right way.

All the best!
